A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.

H.E. Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei has held the position of Minister of Energy since March 2013. H.E. Suhail is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Etihad Water and Electricity, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Emirates General Petroleum Corporation, Member of the Board of Directors and of the Executive Committee of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Mubadala Investment Company, and Member of the Board of Dolphin Energy. He is also Vice Chairman of several other energy-focused boards like Emirates Nuclear Energy Cooperation, Nawah Energy Company, and Barakah One Company. He has extensive experience in corporate administration in different sectors, including shipbuilding, defense systems, oil and gas services sector, and real estate development. H.E. Suhail holds a bachelor's degree in petroleum energy from the University of Tulsa in the United States of America. Â
